E1337: 2020 Recap and 2021 Official Launch
On December 10th 2020, the E1337 team made fashion history and launched the world’s very first luxury e-sports apparel brand.
In response to a rapidly growing sector of interest that lacked true quality apparel products, Team E1337 had spent the 14 months prior to the launch sourcing designs, supply chain partners and materials that would stand out among the dropship level quality that had become industry standard.
We are proud to announce that over the launch of this initial proof-of-concept, the brand achieved severable notable milestones:
- Sold out of the initial (and very hefty) production quantity.
- Zero customer complaints.
- Zero returns.
Just wide spread love for the brand, the design and the high quality of our E1337 physical wearables… There was even an immense amount of love expressed for our carefully designed packaging.
As the success of the physical product launch became apparent, even more interesting, was the growth and success of our Loyalty Token, $1337.
$1337 was our ERC-20 loyalty points system that rewarded buyers of our physical wearables with a 5% “cash back” in $1337, and as we launched the token at $0.05 on a Uniswap liquidity pool, we soon realized that we had created a social token beast as the price quickly escalated to over $2, resulting in a project with over US$20 million in token assets from Day One.
While the price has settled at a reasonable $1.63 at the time of writing, the immense success of the $1337 token caused us to think:
“What would happen if there was a luxury apparel brand that could not be purchased for fiat?”
“What would happen if there was a luxury apprel brand that could only be purchased via social tokens?”
“What would happen if we took a world class community, design and supply chain structure… and went further down the rabbit hole that is Blockchain?”
